This is a 2-way, 2-position, poppet type, pilot operated, normally closed, bi-directional solenoid valve. In its de-energized condition flow is blocked in both directions. Leakage in either direction is kept to a minimum due to the poppet design. When energized, flow can take place from port 2 to 1 and from 1 to 2. These valves can be used to hold loads in position or interrupt a pressure line where flow is expected to pass in both directions in the de-energized condition.

These valves can be used to interrupt a pressure line where flow is expected to pass in both directions in the de-energized condition.

Always check the operating enevelope to make sure the valve will work under the required application conditions.

This is a 4-way, 3-position, spool type, direct acting solenoid valve. In the center condition, ports 2 and 4 are closed while port 3 is connected to port 1. By energizing one coil, port 3 opens to 2 and port 4 to 1. When energizing the other coil, port 3 opens to 4 and port 2 to 1. This valve provides a directional control function with a neutral de energized state allowing the inlet flow to pass to tank or to another function while the work ports are blocked. It can be used in any hydraulic application where an actuator needs to be controlled in both directions.

When energized, port 1 is open to 4 and port 2 open to 3. This valve allows the inlet oil to pass through the valve to tank or a separate system while holding the actuator in position. Always check the operating envelope to make sure the valve will work under the required application conditions. Port 1 is not intended as inlet (Tank only).

This valve is ideal for low leakage requirements to hold a load in position.

Increasing the current to the bottom coil will cause the spool to move, proportionally opening flow from port 5 to 4 with return flow from port 2 to 3. Increasing the current to the top coil will proportionally open flow from port 5 to 2 with return flow from port 4 to 3. In both cases, port 5 will also be opened to port 1, which acts as the load sense port.

In both cases, port 5 will also be opened to port 1, which acts as the load sense port. An integral check valve in port 1 prevents reverse flow and allows separation of the load sense pressures of valves in parallel.

Using this as a variable orifice in conjunction with a compensator, the valve will provide compensated flow to an actuator in both directions.

Pilot pressure at port 1 will cause the valve to shift, connecting port 3 to port 4 with port 2 blocked. During the cross-over transition, all ports are blocked. This valve can be used as a selector valve when combined with a pilot solenoid valve.
