Pilot pressure at port 1 will cause the valve to shift, connecting port 3 to port 2 with port 4 blocked. During the cross-over transition all ports are blocked. Due to the internal hydraulic vent, the pilot pressure required shift the valve is dependent on the pressure in port 4, which would normally be connected to tank.

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
This is a 3-ported, vent to open, poppet type logic element with port 1 connected to port 3 through an orifice. By opening port 3 to tank, flow can pass from port 1 to port 2 or from port 2 to port 1. Closing port 3 will prevent the valve from opening from port 1 to port 2, but flow can still take place from port 2 to port 1. The area ratio between port 1 and 3 is 1:2 and the ratio between port 1 and 2 is also 1:2. By controlling the flow or pressure out of port 3, the valve can be used as an on/off valve or in a pressure control function.

This is a hydraulically pilot operated spool valve, normally closed from port 2 to 3 with an atmospheric vent. When the pilot pressure on port 1 reaches the setting, the valve will begin to open port 2 to 3. This is deal for sensing pressure in a remote area of a circuit to sequence another operation.

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
This is a pilot operated check valve with a separate drain. Free flow takes place from port 3 to 4 and is blocked from port 4 to 3 until pilot pressure is applied to port 1. Port 2 is drained to tank to remove any effect of pressure in port 3 affecting the pilot pressure required to keep the valve open.

This is a 3-way, 2-position, poppet type, direct acting solenoid valve. When de-energized, the valve blocks flow from port 3 while allowing flow between port 1 and 2. This valve is ideal for low leakage requirements to hold a load in position.

Pilot pressure is applied to port 1 and the spring chamber is referenced to atmosphere. When the pressure on port 1 reaches the setting, port 2 will begin to close and port 4 is opened to port 3. This valve can be used normally closed, normally open or as a diverter valve.
